From research: Self-assesment in Education

Current trends in education require new tools to increase the effectiveness of student grading, including both teacher evaluation and student self-assessment. Our research team BERKOVÁ et al. (2024) developed such a tool and published it in the Education and Information Technologies journal.

The assessment tool has a form of an interactive “Learning analytics dashboard” (LAD). LAD is a digital tool that helps teachers and students understand how well learning is progressing. The tool proposed by the authors includes a user-friendly environment and enables real-time feedback to combine assessments by a teacher and a student themselves.

The graphical aspect is supported by a so-called semaphore method: a way of giving feedback using symbols like traffic lights. The tool can be used to analyze achievement causes at various levels, among others. Find other functions at: https://link.springer.com/article/10.1007/s10639-024-12496-3.
